ESG Reporting Requirements
International clients demand emissions data and parent companies require energy inventories, while plant data remains scattered across manual logbooks and Excel spreadsheets. Hino Systech Vietnam builds automated energy metering, data collection, and analytics infrastructure.
Challenges facing your business
-
Green Reporting Pressures Across Global Supply Chains
International brands and parent companies increasingly demand emissions reports and proof of energy management systems from suppliers.
For exporters and FDI enterprises, failing to satisfy energy inventory requirements is no longer merely a matter of corporate image—it directly affects order retention and standing within the supply chain. When clients ask, "Where did this data come from?", answering "manually logged monthly" is no longer acceptable.
-
Fragmented Data and Inability to Establish a Baseline
Varying power meters across different zones, manual shift logs, and unconnected multi-vendor equipment leave the plant without continuous data streams. As a result, establishing a consumption baseline and tracking Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI)—two core requirements of ISO 50001—becomes impossible. Improvement efforts stall because what cannot be measured cannot be managed.
-
Untraceable Waste and Escalating Reporting Costs
Which production lines are losing energy, and during which time frames? Without precise data, these questions remain unanswered, and the resulting waste recurs on every monthly bill.
At the same time, engineering teams dedicate substantial effort each reporting period to manually compile data, yet the results still risk failing client audits due to a lack of data traceability.

Our approach
-
1
Metering at Every Consumption Point
Hino deploys power meters at every electrical panel and production line requiring monitoring, connecting them to an IIoT energy data collection unit. Power, energy consumption, and power factor (cosφ) data are recorded automatically and continuously—completely replacing manual logging per shift and eliminating human error right at the data source.

Hino Gateway 378 - Unifying Multi-Vendor Data
Equipment within a plant is rarely sourced from a single manufacturer. The Hino Gateway 378 serves as a multi-protocol bridge: it reads data from Siemens, Schneider, and ABB devices via Modbus TCP/IP, communicates using the IEC 60870-5-104 standard, and simultaneously integrates power generation data from rooftop solar systems into a unified data stream. The complete energy landscape—encompassing both grid-purchased and self-generated power—is consolidated onto a single platform.
-
3
ISO 50001-Ready EMS/PMS System
Data streams into the EMS/PMS to track Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) in real time, compare against established baselines, and export periodic metrics for ESG reporting and audits. The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle of ISO 50001 operates on actual data rather than estimates—ensuring that every energy-saving result is backed by fully traceable data.

Japanese Engineering Discipline in Every Measurement
Hino Systech Vietnam is a 100% Japanese-owned company, inheriting over 70 years of expertise from Hino Systech Japan (founded in 1950) alongside more than a decade of operational experience in Vietnam.
Our team of over 20 engineers, trained directly in Japan, handles the complete project lifecycle: surveying existing metering setups, designing system architecture, fabricating control panels, installation, and commissioning. For audit-ready data systems, measurement accuracy and consistency are mandatory requirements—reflecting the hallmark strength of Japanese engineering discipline.
-
Seamless Architecture from Field Level to EMS
The solution is engineered with a fully integrated, multi-layered architecture: field-level metering devices and IIoT data collection units, the Hino Gateway 378 at the communication layer, and SCADA alongside EMS/PMS at the monitoring and analytics layer. Because the entire sequence is designed and delivered by a single responsible provider, data flows without disruption across all layers, eliminating reliance on piecemeal integration from multiple vendors.
Continuous, timestamped, and traceable data fully satisfies auditor requirements during ESG report assessments or ISO 50001 evaluations. Hino's energy data integration expertise is proven across large-scale projects such as Luxshare ICT (~20,048 kWp), Vikohasan Ha Nam (3,200 kWp), and the Sapporo Long An hybrid system (~706 kWp).

From Compliance Data to Bottom-Line Value
Data infrastructure built for ESG and ISO 50001 extends far beyond mere compliance reporting. By measuring electricity consumption across specific zones and time intervals, plants can pinpoint exact areas of energy waste for remediation, track equipment health to shift toward predictive maintenance, and proactively manage load distribution as electricity pricing structures evolve—particularly under the two-component electricity tariff introduced in Decision 14/2025/QD-TTg, where both contracted capacity and energy consumption directly impact the bill.
Consequently, the investment in data infrastructure delivers a clear return through reduced OPEX in daily operations.
