Solution Detail & Operating Principle
Practical Challenge
Under Decree No. 58/NĐ-CP and Decision No. 378/QĐ-EVN, all rooftop solar PV systems (self-generation and self-consumption model) with a capacity of 100 kW or higher must be equipped with data transmission devices to send operational data to the power utility system. Today, the primary challenge for project investors is identifying a device with sufficient data compatibility to satisfy EVN's complex technical formats and stringent transmission requirements for legal operation.
Product Solution
Hino Gateway 378 serves as a key technological solution, enabling businesses to overcome these technical hurdles completely. Functioning as an intelligent gateway, the device integrates and standardizes data from internal plant equipment for direct, accurate, stable, and fully compliant transmission to EVN dispatch centers.
Operating Principle
The system continuously collects direct measurement data from field inverters and meters via standard industrial protocols (such as Modbus). The microprocessor within the gateway encodes and packages data into the IEC 60870-5-104 communication standard to transmit to the utility's SCADA/RMCS system. Simultaneously, the device remains on standby to receive remote dispatch commands. In the event of grid overload, the device receives signals from EVN and automatically commands the inverters to curtail or suspend power generation.
Safety Design and Integration Capabilities
Built on Hino Systech's Japanese technological foundation, Gateway 378 ensures maximum operational reliability and superior noise immunity in industrial plant environments. The transmission channel connected to the power utility is protected by multi-layered security to prevent data leakage and cyber threats. Furthermore, the device operates seamlessly alongside the plant's internal Energy Management System (EMS) without signal interference.
Practical Applications
The solution is specifically designed for deployment in rooftop solar PV projects at manufacturing plants, industrial parks, and large commercial centers. The product has proven its practical effectiveness across numerous successful grid-connection projects, helping enterprises fulfill administrative procedures and confidently maintain sustainable energy production.
