Power Monitoring & Evaluation
Automated metering at individual electrical panels and production lines, multi-vendor data integration, EMS/PMS analytics—a continuous, traceable data foundation for every energy decision.
Challenges facing your business
-
Without Data, Every Commitment Lacks Foundation
Demands for energy data arise from multiple stakeholders simultaneously: parent corporations require consumption reports according to unified standards, international customers question energy efficiency during audits, and internal management requires proof of ROI after every retrofit investment. When data exists only as manual shift logs or estimates derived from monthly utility bills, enterprises lack verifiable evidence—leaving all energy efficiency commitments as mere estimates that are difficult to defend during audits.
-
Measuring Totals Without Itemizing Components
A single main meter for the entire facility or a few sub-meters logged manually per shift—this is a common reality. With such high-level data, it is impossible to separate consumption by line, compare efficiency across areas or shifts, or detect underloaded equipment and power factor (cosφ) degradation. Daily operational anomalies—load spikes or equipment running outside production hours—are blended into the monthly main bill and go completely undetected.
-
What Cannot Be Measured Cannot Be Improved
Every energy savings program encounters the same barrier: the lack of a baseline dataset to identify starting points and the inability to quantify post-implementation results. Businesses invest in replacing equipment and upgrading systems but cannot demonstrate the return on investment—making subsequent improvement proposals difficult to justify to executive leadership. Meanwhile, silent energy losses—idle equipment running, peak-hour load overlapping, poor power factor (cosφ)—persist quietly in every monthly utility bill.

Our approach
-
1
Determining Measurement Locations Before Selecting Hardware
Hino engineers survey the factory electrical single-line diagrams to design a hierarchical metering architecture: from the main supply connection down to regional distribution panels, specific production lines, or key high-consumption equipment. A well-structured hierarchy is essential for section-by-section breakdown and cross-level data verification—avoiding the trap of installing numerous meters that fail to form a coherent operational picture.
-
2
A Single Standardized Data Stream Across All Meter Brands
Active power, energy, power factor (cosφ), current, and voltage parameters from field meters are aggregated into regional IIoT data acquisition boxes, then routed through protocol conversion gateways—centered on the Hino Gateway 378 with Modbus TCP/IP and IEC 60870-5-104 support—to standardize into a unified data stream. Devices from Siemens, Schneider, ABB, or other third-party vendors are seamlessly integrated onto a single platform, including generation data from rooftop solar PV systems.
-
3
From Raw Data to Actionable Insights
The EMS/PMS platform converts raw data into decision-making intelligence: daily and time-of-use load profiles, consumption breakdown by area, shift-to-shift and period-to-period comparisons, real-time power factor (cosφ) tracking, and automated threshold breach alerts. Historical data is stored for pre- and post-implementation comparative analysis, enabling periodic report generation without manual data compilation.

Data Is Valuable Only When Measurements Are Reliable
Hino Systech Vietnam is a 100% Japanese-owned enterprise inheriting over 70 years of expertise from the Hino Systech Group in Japan (established in 1950), operating in Vietnam for over 10 years with a team of more than 20 Japan-trained engineers. In power evaluation, errors in current transformer (CT) installation, phase sequence miswiring, or improper meter configuration lead to corrupted downstream analytics that are difficult to trace. Rigorous Japanese engineering discipline across site surveying, execution, and pre-handover inspection ensures the data foundation is solid right from the start.
-
Seamless Traceability from Field Measuring Points to Management Reports
The entire chain—field meters and current transformers, IIoT data acquisition boxes, protocol conversion layers, SCADA, and EMS/PMS systems—is designed, panel-fabricated, and executed under single-source accountability.
Data flows continuously with synchronized timestamps and direct origin traceability: if a figure on a management report is questioned, engineers can trace backwards from the report down to the specific field meter within the same unified system.
Hino's capability in deploying large-scale energy data infrastructure has been proven across major projects including LuxShare ICT (~20,048 kWp), Vikohasan Ha Nam (3,200 kWp), and a solar-generator-grid hybrid system at Sapporo Long An (~706 kWp).
-
One Data Foundation, Multiple Value Streams
The power monitoring and assessment system serves as the core foundation for various operational objectives: pinpointing energy waste and optimizing costs under time-of-use tariffs, tracking Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs) for ISO 50001 management systems, providing consumption data for ESG and carbon reporting, and verifying real-world ROI on solar PV investments.
Enterprises build a standardized metering infrastructure once and leverage it across multiple objectives—ensuring every subsequent retrofit investment has baseline justification before execution and verifiable proof after.
