Monitoring Solutions (SCADA, OCC)
Generators in modern plants no longer operate in isolation: they must coordinate with the EVN grid during power switching, share loads with other generators, and operate seamlessly alongside rooftop solar power.
Challenges facing your business
-
Without Monitoring, There Is No Control
Operating a plant without a centralized monitoring system leaves operations perpetually reactive: failures are only discovered after they occur, operating parameters are logged sporadically shift by shift, and all reporting requirements—whether for corporate headquarters, client audits, or regulatory authorities—must be manually consolidated from disparate sources.
For FDI and export-oriented enterprises, the ability to demonstrate operational status through continuous, traceable data has increasingly become a mandatory requirement rather than an option.
-
Multiple Fragmented Screens, No Unified Overview
A common reality in plants is having isolated interfaces for each system: power meters in one place, equipment controllers in another, solar inverters on vendor-specific platforms, and generators with their own control panels.
Operators are forced to piece together the big picture from separate fragments. In critical situations requiring rapid response, monitoring multiple screens simultaneously is impossible. Furthermore, un-synchronized timestamp data makes root-cause failure analysis after an incident virtually impossible.
-
The Cost of "Knowing Too Late"
Without continuous monitoring, plants pay the price in multiple ways: untraceable power wastage, equipment failures occurring without early warning, and delayed fault detection leading to extended downtime.
At the same time, engineering teams waste valuable man-hours performing manual inspections and consolidating data for reports—tasks that a genuine monitoring system executes automatically, continuously, and error-free.

Our approach
-
1
Consolidating All Signals into a Unified Data Stream
Hino conducts site surveys and installs data acquisition systems at critical monitoring points: power meters at distribution panels and production lines, equipment status signals, inverter, and power source data—all connected to an IIoT data collection box.
All operating parameters are recorded automatically and continuously with standardized timestamps directly at the source.
-
2
A "Common Language" for Multi-Vendor Equipment
Equipment from Siemens, Schneider, ABB, and other brands communicates via Modbus TCP/IP with proprietary data structures, while grid-connected sources follow the IEC 60870-5-104 standard.
The protocol conversion gateway layer, centered on the Hino Gateway 378 device, aggregates all data into a standardized stream—enabling SCADA to display everything on a single unified platform instead of across isolated systems.
-
3
From On-Site Monitoring to Centralized Operation Control Centers
The SCADA system provides a real-time overview of the plant, triggers alerts when parameters exceed thresholds, and archives full operational history for analysis.
For large-scale or multi-site systems, the Operation Control Center (OCC) allows centralized monitoring and coordination of multiple sources and facilities from a single location—ideally suited for solar power systems and power sources requiring continuous operational oversight.

Monitoring Systems Engineered with Japanese Technical Discipline
Hino Systech Vietnam is a 100% Japanese-owned company, inheriting over 70 years of experience from Hino Systech Group in Japan (established in 1950) and more than 10 years of operations in Vietnam, featuring over 20 engineers trained directly in Japan.
An effective monitoring system is more than just attractive software—it requires a deep understanding of field instrumentation, rigorous data structure design, and stringent testing to ensure accurate, reliable data display over years of operation. From site surveys, engineering design, and control panel fabrication to installation and commissioning, a single unified team takes end-to-end responsibility.
-
A Seamless Chain from Field Level to SCADA/OCC
The solution is designed in synchronized layers: measurement devices and IIoT acquisition boxes at the field level, a protocol conversion layer in the middle, and SCADA and OCC at the monitoring and control level. Because the entire chain is engineered and owned by a single vendor, data flow remains uninterrupted between layers, avoiding reliance on patchwork integration across multiple vendors' products.
Data is continuous, timestamped, and fully traceable. Hino's proven track record in deploying large-scale monitoring systems is demonstrated in field installations at Luxshare-ICT (~20,048 kWp), Vikohasan Ha Nam (3,200 kWp), and a solar-generator-grid hybrid system at Sapporo Long An (~706 kWp).

One Platform, Multiple Challenges Solved Simultaneously
The greatest value of a monitoring system lies in its foundational architecture: a single SCADA/OCC infrastructure simultaneously serves multiple objectives—identifying power waste to lower costs, providing early fault alerts to minimize downtime, supplying continuous data for energy and ESG reporting, and monitoring power sources for stable operations.
Enterprises invest once in a comprehensive monitoring layer and leverage it across multiple use cases, avoiding fragmented tools for individual problems. All performance gains are quantitatively measured using the system's own data.
